"Vanessa is doing something quite wonderful with her online cookery school.  I was lucky enough to qualify with the Cooks Academy in 2010 and have kept in touch. Her Baking, Sushi and Home Cookalong courses are all splendidly done and have been great revision for me. I'm addicted and think every cook should sign up! What I particularly appreciate is her kindness and the sheer wealth of knowledge she has, and all her tips that remind you how to approach every vegetable anew, even if the recipe itself is familiar. My family have all appreciated their special weekly dish or the house full of cake. They also say my cooking has got better!  

Having experienced the glory of the Cooking School twelve years ago, I can say now that I've a young family and could never have the time to attend again for some years, this is a wonderful economical way to learn. I also find it much less stressful as I am at home in my own kitchen with my own ingredients. Thus by the time we're cooking I'm certain that this is how this dish works in my kitchen with whatever I have been able to buy. Like everyone I've adapted to the online mode of learning and for me, given the advantages of being in your own kitchen, it works wonderfully well. "Hi Vanessa, I just wanted to say how much we are loving the online classes. We had done a fair few in person cooks academy courses over the years and I wasn't sure how an online course would work but actually it's brilliant. It is fun and interactive and we've learned loads. Getting the ingredients list well in advance means there's no hassle. It has worked so well. We'll definitely do more online classes when this course is over.
 
The kids (including two fussy eaters) absolutely adored the toad in the hole. The meatballs and carbonara are now on our regular family dinners list. Chicken chasseur has been my favourite with the seafood lasagna a close second. I really like the range of meals you've chosen. The videos are great though I don't always have time to look at them in advance. I love the way you give loads of suggestions on substitutes and how to modify the recipe depending on what's in the fridge / store cupboard.
 
You're a great teacher, a real natural. I feel I can ask anything. You are really patient and you make the classes really fun. Thank you so, so much. Keep up the great work".
